Geologic Time scale
Geologic Time Scale is a record of the geologic events and life forms in Earth's history.
The Geologic time scale is four divisions of time: Precambrian, Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic. The Cenozoic Era is the era we are in right now. Each era is divided into numerous periods.
*Precambrian Time 4.6 BYA-544 MYA. This is when the earth and oceans formed.
*Paleozoic Era 544 MYA-245 MYA. This era is known as the explosion of life. It is when a lot of the animals started to develop.
*Mesozoic Era 245 MYA-66 MYA. This is when Pangaea (super continent) broke apart, creating the earth we know today.
*Cenozoic Era 66MYA-Present day. This era is still changing even as we speak. This is the era when modern day humans came along.
